Core Values

1.  The New Eden Fellowship seeks to practice loving fellowship.

The heart of the Christian faith is love and fellowship.  Being an Independent Christian is impossible (Acts 2:42 - 47, I John 4:7&8).  We will seek to promote fellowship by:

  • Using a small group centered system of care (Exodus 18)

  • Emphasizing a faith that does not allow for prejudice and racism

  • Creating a variety of faith-based activities and ministries promoting growth, fun, and fellowship

2. New Eden seeks to minister to those with struggles and hurts.

Everyone is welcome at New Eden no matter where they are in life.  Those with struggles and hurts will be given encouragement and counsel in how to find healing.  We will encourage healing through:

  • Sermons that are practical

  • Support groups

  • Individual Mentoring

3.  New Eden seeks to encourage worship that brings us into the presence of God.

The goal of faith is to encounter God in a meaningful and life changing way.  Worship, whether it is contemporary or traditional is basic to encountering God.

4.   The New Eden Fellowship seeks to bring others to know Christ.

Having found the healing and joy that comes in Christ, we desire to introduce others to Christ as well.  We will do this by:

  • Encouraging members to be open about their faith

  • Creating an open and inviting atmosphere where we can feel good bringing our friends

5.  The New Eden Fellowship seeks to be biblically centered and literate.

Bible knowledge and understanding are basic to spiritual growth (II Timothy 3:16 & 17).  We will seek to bring this knowledge by use of:

  • Interesting life application sermons

  • Discipleship programs for all levels of spiritual maturity.

  • An emphasis on home groups.

6.  The New Eden Fellowship seeks God's empowerment.

Prayer is the vital link between a believer and God.  This is how we are sustained and empowered (Acts 1:8, Colossians 4:2&3).  We will grow in our prayer lives by:

  • The organization of individual and corporate prayer

  • Establishing prayer as the focal point of home groups

  • Emphasizing prayer as the base of individual discipleship
